How to merge WoW account with Battle.net

There’s a nice post on WoW EU forum regarding the upcoming WoW accounts merge with Battle.net.

Note: the steps in this guide have to be completed, if u want to be able to play after the 11th of November. You can also do it after the 11th, but you will not be able to play at the time in between!

Step1: Go to http://eu.battle.net (for European accounts) or http://us.battle.net (for United States)

Step2: Click on the “Create or manage battle.net account” button

Step3: Click on “Sign up now”

Step4: Select country, accept terms of use and accept chat agreement.
Note: this form bugged for me (Using internet explorer 7) because the continue button was behind the terms of use. If u have the same problem i suggest using another webbrowser.
Click continue

Step5: Fill in the account information and the security code.
Note: the email adress you fill in should be your own and will be used as login name for your battle.net games. (Including world of warcraft)
Note: the adress will also be used to ship your online purchases to. This function will not be explained further in this guide.

Click continue

Step6: Fill in your personal information and whether you want to receive blizzard insider or not.
Click continue

Step7: Check if the information is correct and agree with “collection and use of personal data by blizzard in accordance with blizzard’s privacy policy”
Click create this battle.net account

Step8: Go to your email, open the battle.net email, and click on the link to finalize the account confirmation!

Step9: Go back to battle.net and login with your newly registered account.

Step10: You are now in your own battle.net space. Here you can add, manage, and download games. First you have to “merge” them. This basically means that you are telling your account that a game belongs to you (and thus your account)

To merge your world of warcraft account with your battle.net, click on “Merge a World of Warcraft® Account”. Fill in your continent, Account name and password.

Step11. Follow the instructions on screen and finalize the merge.
Note: as mentioned in the instructions, when you finalize the merge, you will NEED to login with your email adress from that moment on! If you try to login with your old login name you will be told to use your email adress.

Step12. You should now be back in your peronal battle.net space, and see your world of warcraft account under the line “Manage my games”. When you click on “manage game” you will be redirected to the wow-europe.com account management (or worldofwarcraft.com ofcourse). You will see that your personal information has been deleted! Dont worry! It has now been changed to what you filled in on battle.net!

(Step13): If you want to add a different game, click on “add a game”. Fill in your key code and your game will automatically be recognized! You can now download the newest version of the game directly to your pc!
