Wouldn’t it be easier to add a separate quest line off a dif Npc that way those who need the Str ring can get it in the same time frame as others?

Yeah that is awesome for the future, I inderstand that these things can be difficult, it is dissappointing though, and doesn’t really mean a whole lot at the moment to say we are sorry and that there is no imediate fix in in the future. Thanks for the info =)

its always been agi on the rings because rogues and hunters are pure dps classes and use agi wars/pally/dk can tank but a quest chain off darion for an str ring would be great since the str has to talk to him about shadowmourne anyway

so if they had another quest for the str dps ring would it be a 25 man only thing, like Shadowmourne, cause I am beginning to notice a trend that Blizz doesn’t like ten men raids.

You know what would have worked, instead of two spell power rings, just itemize the ring with haste and crit, instead of having an mp5 ring and a hit ring. I’m fairly confident that both healers and casters could live without (and would likely be pleased) those stats. That way, they could’ve given us a strength ring. Or they could’ve made the attack power on the agi ring really high (lke 180), with a smaller amount of agility.

There could be a quest where you have to turn in one of the other rings for a str ring because if they gave 2 NPCs with quest it wouldn’t stop people from getting 2 rep rings.

We should totally get a str ring. Just make the same kind of quest to do it but give to another npc like others are saying. Normally we get from the Dk npc, just give to the Warrior, paladian, or even Morrgance

I compleatly agree with the one who talked about making a spearate quest.
in it, you should be able to exchange the ring of cours paing, I thing that by now it will work, however some people would be as irritating as ever due to having to pay, but it would evitate people changing all the time rings from one to an other.

Why not do a NPC for each Ring?? Makes it easyer on the players a bit and you can add the STR ring into the mix.

Huh? I don’t get why there’s a 4 reward limit, when the old Daily Dungeon quest in Dalaran was able to have 5 rewards to pick from. Or have the Ashen Verdict guy give you a token, to hand in like the tier pieces were?

Seriously, there’s several examples of ways to have done this right, why pick something that’s wrong?

Another pet peeve of mine was that old daily quest would force you to pick a reputation to get an item for, with no money option if you were maxed out with all 5. Yet it was clearly possible to do so, since Icecrown’s 4 dailies let you do exactly that?

i would like to see a strength ring as a fury warrior myself…but….agil increases crit, and if you have all points in armored to the teeth (which you should as a fury warrior) the agil will increase you armor rating which in turn will increase your Attack power. just because certain sites say go with all strength doesnt mean you have to, go with what you need, not everyone is the same, as a fury warrior i dont use HS because of it high threat, so i use cleave as my next melee/rage dump, and my dps is higher than fury warriors with higher gear scores. So dont forget to factor in that agil is actually incraesing your Attack power when looking at gear, even though 1 str = 2 ap alot of agil will increase ap AND crit!

Path of the Y (Caster DPS)
Path of the Z (Agi DPS)
Path of the 1 (Str DPS)
Path of the 2 (Tank)

It would be easier if casters/healers got 1 quest because some casters like to heal, and just have different caster and healer rings, IE crit haste hit … etc Then another one for agi + str dps and tank all together

I think this is Blizzard’s way of fixing the lack of tanks inthe game. The should start punishing the DPS. Last time I cued for a dungeon as a DPS it took me 10 minutes to get a group. But every time I cue on my holy/prot paladin I get groups as soon as I hit the button. I think it’s time for a few of you QQers to take the step into real playing. There are just too damn many dps anyways.

Yes when I read about this issue making the caster dps and heal ring the same one by removing hit and mp5 and add a little crit was my first thought. Just like Endblade of Winterhoof above mentions. So if we can come up with a solution instantly that does not require much changing and gets around the technical issue. Then why haven’t you? Personally I’ll get the caster dps ring on my alt priest cos I’ll use it for holy and spriest spec.

In fear of sounding like a cry baby but it’s NOT FAIR! lol It’s like THE best ring in the game so far, right? And the str dps don’t get one? Nice. Just nice.. lol

As a PvE Arms Warroir, I’m just sticking the ring in my bag for now….but come on, Blizzard is once again making the DPS Warriors the red headed step childs in game. The T-10 for warroirs is a joke….and will someone please tell me why just about every piece of gear has Exp on it instead of hit?

Honestly if you look at the stats, its still one of the best rings for a pally to get (at the reveared and higher rank it is the best) Dont look down on a piece of gear just cause it doesnt have str. Which would be better, +100 str, or +250Attack power??

Vendor:
1] Ring 1 (cost: 1 reward)
2] Ring 2 (cost: 1 reward)
3] Ring 3 (cost: 1 reward)
4] Ring 4 (cost: 1 reward)
5] Ring 5 (cost: 1 reward)

And then you could make 1 reward ring cost 200g + one of the rings you choosed… (as it costs in the quest to change rings)

It would be easiest to set it up the way all rep rewards are. For the t10 you still have to buy the first piece to get the rest and keep upgrading it. Have the quest give a token instead that turns in for the ring and each ring must be turned in for its upgrade.

No no.

Casters and heals need VERY different stats.

For a paly we itemize int and haste. Next comes MP5.
They take that off the ring we would fail.

(reason I don’t mention crit is because I specced with atleast 10% more crit making it less valuable)

Here is my reply to this, make a new, different npc, and make it so you can trade any of the 4 other rings into him and he will reward u with dunn dunn duh! A str dps ring. problem solved

It’s annoying to see for us plates, but I’m sure they have plans to implement it since there are many ways around it as mentioned above.
Personally, I think the seperate quest line (like Kara) is the better way but who knows what will happen. Will have to wait and see

Bottom line, all other classes are surging ahead while the str users sit back and watch. Sure agilty+attack is ok for pallys but with most dps reliant on the str attribute, it’s a little frustrating. Issues like this will never be solved till Blizzard finds the thin line of nerfing pvp without reprocussion to pve. Cmon, 5 stacks of vengance to hit max dps in raid. Not to mention losing stacks when changing targets to get, I dont snobolds off someone only to return and have to restack. Give us our ring quickly pls, you owe us that much.

In the case of a DK Strength is MUCH better because it scales with all our talent tree directly. AP does not, so is a flat 250 AP better than even 75 STR? No.

For a Ret pally? 100 str. Divine strength + Kings = more than 250 AP out of 100 str.

Don’t say things when you don’t understand the mechanics of the spec.

They couldve jus created class specific quests and popped em on each of the armor vendors… Then u only have to have a maximum of 3 rings for each class..simple
