DK’s suck, and so does Blizzard for breaking them. Yes, there is a great deal of versatility, but for a class that’s supposed to be a “Hero” class, they’re everything but. With equal gear scores, a Pally can easily out tank a DK (ask any healer which they would prefer to heal and why), a pally can do very substantial DPS, and they can heal. With the new random dungeons, I’ve had people drop groups before the first pull just because there was a DK tank. I used to love tanking with my DK, and I can still do a decent job tanking (my skills, not the DK), although the DK is far from adequate. About the only time I tank now is with my guild when they are running alts around. I just leave them there waiting until Blizzard fixes them again one day. Hopefully they will grow a backbone and return the “Hero” class to at least equal footing for Tanking.
