After some discussions on the forums, Ghostcrowler confirmed that Purified Lunar Dust is about 22 spell power under the item budget, and should be fixed soon. Healers, rejoice!

Some of you are missing the point. 175 Spell Power plus 304 mp5 (static ~75mp5) is a decent combo to have. Abacus is slightly more SP but you lose the regen for a random heal proc. Solace requires constant spamming for it’s greater mp5 benefit which usually isn’t a problem when raid healing but it doesn’t offer as much SP. This trinket, after the fix, will be on my list if I keep missing out on the Abacus (Solace never drops for me either).

Its a nice upgrade for those who can’t find a decent healing trinket. I’m a holy/shadow priest. I use the Ephemeral Snowflake and the Talisman of Resurgence for my Holy set. Both are a great combo and I almost never run out of mana as a result. So what it comes down to is if you are looking for MP5. The spellpower is awesome, but really there are better trinkets out there and better items that you can spend your 60 Frost badges on. I personaly don’t find it worth it given the trinkets I have, but if you can’t find anything better then sure. Spend your 60 badges. Otherwise, run heroics and try to raid when you can.

I agree, this is a badge waste at a 1min eternal Cd this is a terrible trinket to even think about getting. I’d personally go with Solace of the Fallen and the Trinket from 25 Gunship would be best imo. But i still can’t get either to drop. [:

I am also a resto shammy The Lunar Dust is horrible and no matter what upgrades i get it will never be on the list. At least for a resto shammy the Heroic and non heroic Althors Abacus and Solace are Best in slot. The Mp5 Proc is such a waste even though the plus spellpower is higher.

As a disc/spriest, I like this trinket. Extra SP it always nice but super mana regen helps when the raid wiping depends on your mana pool.

IM also a resto shaman in ICC 25, and there are upgrades that would be better, but its not a trinket that I will ignore after I have gotten the rest of the Badge gear. It just depends on what upgrad i need at what time.

That said, the Solace and Abacus combo is nice and should hold out for a long time.

Still, as a resto shaman raiding ICC 25, a waste of badges imo. I prefer my Solace (245) and Althor’s Abacus. Theres still to many upgrades to get w/frost, to “waste” any on that trinket even with the bump. That being said, for non raiding healers of all classes, it is definitly a good buff to an already really nice piece.
