Hah, how many people are gonna sign up for the beta and if picked do absolutely no work at all. Bet the majority is simply gonna play and when glitches or bugs come up instead of documenting them and reporting them they will sit in trade and bitch about it. Playing for fun is fine but the beta of a new xpack is no place for it. Those who choose to participate should have a truly honest desire to actually test the game and report on any problems. True beta testers spend hours playing the game but they also spend hours writing bug/glitch reports and finding ways to fix them. They are a truly integral part of developing any game and many times work closely with the developers.

To have your name in for the betas that blizzard does. you need to go to battle.net and there will be an option to sign up for the betas of WoW, SC, and also Diablo
