General
- The Ruby Sanctum, an all-new 10- and 25-player raid featuring normal and Heroic difficulties, is now available for testing! Players will find the dungeon entrance below Wyrmrest Temple in Dragonblight.
- Copied Test Realm characters are not copied with their achievement history in order to better facilitate the character copy process.
User Interface
* Chat Frame
o Players can now right-click on any chat type (Whisper, Trade, General, Party, Raid, etc.) and choose the Pop Out Chat option. This will move that chat type to a separate tab in the Chat frame which can be undocked and moved anywhere on the screen.
+ Using the Pop Out Chat option on a Whisper will place the conversation with that player in a separate tab.
+ Any time a conversation with another player is put into its own tab, the tab will glow when a new message is received.
o Hovering over the Chat Frame and using the mouse wheel will allow players to scroll through chat text.
o Players can select Classic Mode under Interface Options to keep the Chat Frame functionality closer to what it was prior to patch 3.3.5.
o The Simple Chat User Interface option has been removed.
* Friends List
o A new icon has been added to the top left of the Chat Frame which will open up the Friends list.
o In addition to its current functionality, the Friends List will now allow players to add Battle.net accounts (Real ID). Players will have to confirm that they are friends in order for a Real ID to be added. Once Real ID friends, players can communicate cross-game, cross-faction and cross-realm.
o A new Pending tab has been added where players can accept or decline a Real ID friend request, or select the Report Spam or Block Communications buttons.
o Players can now select from three statuses which will be visible to their friends: Available, Away and Busy.
o A Broadcast window has been added to the top of the frame. Players can use this to broadcast a message to all of their Real ID friends online. This message will also be displayed under the broadcaster’s Real ID information in each friend’s list.

Because RS has the same ilvl with ICC. If you had t10.5, then you simply wouldn’t enter RS. Instead, you get ToGC gear ( the one you enter ICC with). That’s the reason why ICC is offline, and will stay like that: you don’t need it.

I’m wondering if there will be a raidwide debuff similar to Chill of the Throne to keep mitigation on par with evasion stats.

RS10 will drop iLvL258.
RS25 will drop iLvL271.
Each mini-boss will drop a Frost emblem.
And as for difficulty, let’s just say it’s the kind of fight that players will get used to rather quickly (like Sarth/Onyx).

Lol at Viperius…ERP much? And thank your addon devs for things like Chatter and WIM which i run and have this chat functionality built in, which i may no longer use since wow will do it for me (not as well though i’m sure). And yes, ICC is getting freaking gloomy. I need a change of scenery!

They added Glyph vendors on Wednesday, meaning you can now get glyphs at Vendor sell price(few silvers) as well as Battered hilts for free (0g,0s,0c)

For Ruby Sanctum Frost Emblems will drop as well as 251/264 gear. As there is only one “real” boss and the other three are mini bosses, similar to OS, I’m not sure if those mini bosses will now drop loot and frost emblems as well. As for difficulty, RS will be the same ilvl as ICC, but it will be easier overall, similar to how OS was easier than Naxx when they were first released. ICC will still be the main raiding instance.

Its great to hear they are finally releasing Ruby Sanctum. That’s one step closer to my guild dropping Professor Putricide, and one step closer to the release of Cataclysm. I look forward to both eagerly!

actually ruby sanctum will supposedly drop lich king level on normal and heroic, so 258/271 on normal and 277/284 on heroic.

Any help here guys? I copied my main for the PTR and according to the site the copy proccess is complete and successful, but he’s nowhere to be seen. I checked all 4 realms just to be sure, but nothing there either.

As someone who can only get upgrades inside ICC 10 hardmodes or ICC 25, I appreciate an additional lockout where I might get gear on my main. The ICC bracket is the first time so far in WOTLK where only one raid instance in a given iLevel bracket was avialable, and running TOC ‘for fun’ gets old :p
